I am a writer of, as it says above, science fiction, fantasy and alternate history. I have written a number of novels, over twenty-five to this point, and have experimented with a number of areas in these genres. Most, but not all of my writing has a military theme. In science fiction I tend to write in the hard subgenre, using real physics as far as my layman's knowledge lets me understand them. That doesn't mean I don't make things up, bending reality in order to get from point A to B. I just make sure I don't violate what is known to be fact. I have formal training in Biology and Psychology, and delve deeply into both. In fantasy I use structured societies that fit one or more patterns of human history, even if the characters are not strictly human. I have also experimented with alternate history in the World War 2 era, a subject I have studied extensively. I have submitted my work to the three major publishers that will take an unsolicited look at my subject matter. Last year I started to submit to agents. I feel that the work that has not been accepted by the major publishers and agents still has merit. In my opinion, as a well-read writer, they are good stories with interesting characters and original backgrounds. So at this point in my career I am embarking on a multi-tiered plan of attack, getting my work out self published as well as continuing to pursue the big boys I try to be intelligent and consistent in my work. If I make a glaring error be sure to let me know. The great thing about online publishing is I can edit on demand. However, if I don't agree I will stick to my guns. As said above, welcome to my home on the net. This site is under construction. I plan for it to always be under construction, evolving, changing. This is not just a site to showcase my writing. It is a site for those who are serious about the fantastic, reading or writing. It is also a site for those who like to have fun with the genres. My books will be showcased, and links will be provided to authors I love. There will be some lessons in science, history and mythology. I will put some of my own lousy artwork out there for public scrutiny, mostly to give some idea to the designs and visualizations of some of my books. I am determined to succeed at this thing. I will succeed as long as I continue to produce fiction, no matter the success or lack of in the marketplace. So kick back, dig in, and enjoy. Wait long enough and maybe you can catch the next flight to the Galactic Core. Or you can find a hidey hole to avoid the Zombie Apocalypse. Whatever your taste, hopefully you will find something here. Here you will find pages on such diverse topics as what is a black hole and what are wormholes?; space travel and space exploration; what is science fiction?, especially hard science fiction; what is nantechnology, cyborgs and other constructs of scifi; can objects travel at the speed of light, or even faster than the speed of light?, and if there might be some work arounds that don't violate the dictates of Einstein's Theory of Relativity? What is Genetic Engineering and Cloning? And what promise or threats does it hold for our future. And of course terraforming, aliens and alien life, the staples of speculative fiction. In the future things will be much different, and there are links and speculative articles about future technology, future soldiers and how life will be for the citizens of the future. What about robots, and how will they be prevented from turning into the dreaded Terminator. I also write in fantasy, both high fantasy and contemporary fantasy, also known as urban fantasy. There are pages on vampire, zombies, ghouls, mummies and other undead, as well as dragons, fae and other fantasy characters such as orcs, elves, dwarves, halfings, demons and others. The dragon has always fascinated me, in all its many manifestations, and there will be many links to their sites as well. There are also pages on famous and up and coming science fiction writers, comic book heroes; science fiction movies and science fiction books; super hero movies, and my old favorite, vampire movies. In the future things are likely to be much different than today, just as they were in the past. How much? Your guess is as good as mine, but on this site I will give you a good idea of mine.
